The Interfin Companies Giorgio Borlenghi
President
Giorgio Borlenghi is President and owner of The Interfin Companies LP, a Houston-based real estate development company which he founded in 1978 when he made Houston his home. Prior to moving to Houston, Mr. Borlenghi was project manager for engineering and construction of two projects his family developed in Italy - Sporting Mirasole, a large multi-use development in Milan, and the IBM Computer Center in Rome. The Borlenghi family has been active in real estate development in Europe, South America, and California for over 40 years. Mr. Borlenghi earned a Master's Degree in structural engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan and is a licensed structural engineer on the European continent. He speaks five languages.
Mr. Borlenghi is an honorary member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is a former Advisory Board member for the Rice University School of Architecture as well as the Houston Economic Development Council and he has served on the Board of Directors of The Regis School for Boys. He formerly served on the Board of Trustees of Duchesne Academy for Girls, Houston's Wortham Theater and the Museum of Fine Arts. He is a past Chairman of the Texas Heart Institute Associates; he previously served as Co-Chair of the Houston International Festival Mayor's Gala for 1994 and was appointed Vice Chair of the Houston Chapter of the Christopher Columbus Quincentenary Jubilee Commission. From 1987 he served on the Board of Uptown Houston Association and was on the Board of the Harris County Improvement District #1. In 1999 he served as honorary chair of the Blueprint Ball for the University of Houston's School of Architecture; and he and his wife, Cathy, hosted The Childress Foundation's fall fundraiser. In the spring of 2000 he and his wife chaired the Mardi Gras Gala for the University of St. Thomas.
Mr. Borlenghi is on the Board of Directors of the Strake Jesuit College Preparatory Foundation as well as being a member of the World Presidents' Organization, the Urban Land Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers, Italy-America Chamber of Commerce, Associate Member of the MD Anderson Cancer Center Board of Visitors, an Advisory Member of the Board of Directors of the Houston Endowment and serves on the Board of Directors of the University of St. Thomas. Mr. Borlenghi is also responsible for bringing to Houston a new sport franchise, the Houston Hotshots. This professional indoor soccer team started play in June 1994 and had six successful seasons.
The President of Italy, Mr. Francesco Cossiga, made Mr. Borlenghi a Knight of the Republic of Italy on June 2, 1991. This honor was bestowed for his efforts of promoting the cultural and business traditions of Italy in the United States. He was also named Knight Commander of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.
In 1994, Mr. Borlenghi with his wife Cathy, were named and honored as Cultural Leaders of the Year and in 1998 he was awarded the Torchlight Liberty Award by the American Immigration Law Foundation.
The University of St. Thomas honored Cathy and Giorgio in 2004 at the annual Mardi Gras Gala.
Among Mr. Borlenghi's major projects in Houston are:
- Four-Leaf Towers - Two 40-story twin condominium towers, with 400 units and a total of approximately 900,000 sq. ft. (83,600 sq. mt.) of saleable area, plus a 700-car underground garage.
- Four Oaks Place - A complex of 4 office buildings containing 1,800,000 sq. ft. (167,000 sq. mt.) of rentable area plus a 1,400,000 sq. ft. (130,000 sq. mt.) parking garage.
- Villa d'Este Condominium - A 26-story luxury condominium building totaling 100 units plus a 260-car underground parking garage.
- Uptown Park - A European village-style shopping center with 150,000 sq. ft. (13,900 sq. mt.) of leaseable area and approximately 40 extraordinary shops and restaurants.
- Westside - A 760-acre (300 hectares) development on the I-10 Freeway with a major movie theatre, a regional mall and a variety of retail projects.
- Montebello - A 30-story luxury condominium building with 112 units and a 270-car underground parking garage.
- Hotel Granduca - A 6-story luxury boutique hotel with 126 rooms and suites.
- Vintage Park - An 84 acre, 655,000 square feet mixed-use retail development located at Hwy 249 and Louetta scheduled to be complete in 2007.

Stan A. Daugherty

Mr. Daugherty is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Bachelor of Science in Business degree from Southwestern State University. Prior to joining Interfin in 1985, Mr. Daugherty held the position of Vice President of Finance at Atlantic Pacific Marine Corporation. Before joining Atlantic Pacific Marine Corporation in 1976, Mr. Daugherty was employed by Zapata Offshore Company.
Mr. Daugherty is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Melissa R. Suman
Vice President & Controller |

Ms. Suman is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston. Prior to joining Interfin in 1985, Ms. Suman owned Suman Financial Services, Inc. which provided contract accounting and consulting services for Texas, Arizona, Florida and Virginia-based real estate, manufacturing and retail companies. Ms. Suman had also served as Manager of Budgeting and Financial Planning for U-Totem, Inc.; Senior Accountant/Assistant to the Controller for Fairmont Foods Company; and Senior Accountant for KPMG Peat Marwick.
Ms. Suman is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. |

Susan Bays
Assistant Controller |

Ms. Bays holds a Masters of Business Administration from Oklahoma State University. Previous positions held by Ms. Bays prior to joining Interfin in 1992 include Controller for Sovereign Management Company of Houston, Texas and Aufleger-Garrett Management of Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Ms. Bays is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. |

Kyle O. Stiles
Senior Vice President of Project Development |

A native Houstonian, Mr. Stiles initiated his career in construction management working for Lexington Development (then a division of Trammell Crow) while attending the University of Houston. Prior to joining Interfin, he was Project Manager for the city of College Station, Texas. There his responsibilities included the procurement of public and private funds to assist in utility, street and housing developments within the city, as well as negotiating construction contracts and providing project supervision.
Since 1981, Mr. Stiles has been responsible for providing construction management
services for Interfin's construction and leasehold improvements. He has
assembled a team of highly qualified professionals to assist him in carrying
out the responsibilities of Project Management for all of Interfin's major
projects including Four-Leaf Towers, Four Oaks Place, Villa d'Este
Condominium, Uptown
Park, Montebello, Hotel Granduca, and Vintage Park.

Sarah Foster

Ms. Foster is a graduate of Syracuse University, with Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science degrees. She attained her professional registration in both Architecture and Interior Design in the state of Texas and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
Her responsibilities include preliminary planning, managing architectural
and engineering consultants and contractors, giving presentations
to buyers/owners, scheduling and coordinating budgets, contract administration
and performing post occupancy evaluations. Sarah's prior management
of tenant coordination for the Four Oaks Place office complex allowed
her to gain valuable experience in processing a diverse, high volume
project load. Current duties focus on strong design and client services
allowing her to establish and maintain familiarity with Houston's
design community. Ms. Foster has been with Interfin since 1984. |

Kirk Eyring

Kirk Eyring is a graduate of the University of Houston, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics as well as a Masters in Architecture. He is a registered architect in the state of Texas and member of the American Institute of Architects. Kirk has helped develop master plans and done project evaluations for numerous Interfin projects since 1991. As Project Architect, Kirk's areas of involvement are in design development, graphic design, CAD management, client support and as liaison with outside architectural and engineering firms. |

Matt Waller
Senior Vice President of Management & Development |

Mr. Waller is a graduate of Auburn University, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and the University of Houston, with a Master of Business Administration. He is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and holds a real estate license. Prior to joining Interfin in 1982, Mr. Waller spent four years with Gerald D. Hines Interests as Group Property Manager of their West Loop Properties.
He is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, the International Council of Shopping Centers and is on the Board of Directors of the West Houston Association.
